This is a very special album for me and I couldn’t have made it without
my good friend, Texas Blues guitarist Chris Duarte. In mid 2019, I invited Chris out to Maui to do a couple of shows with me, and discussions for
co-producing an album ensued. We made plans for the following year.

At the beginning of 2020 I brought Chris back out to Maui to get into the studio and we ended up recording four tracks. Not but a month later, the world stopped and everything was placed on the back burner for over a year. After some careful consideration during the pandemic, I took advantage of the time to record two more tracks with no pressure of deadlines or expectations. This really gave me the freedom to work these songs exactly the way I wanted to hear them. The process of making this album has been a giant stepping stone for me to continue sharing the music I love to play, with a lot more in the future.

“Sail on brutha…and don’t ever let up” were the final words of encouragement that my friend and mentor Gregg Allman sent me before he passed away. These words will be forever ingrained in me to accomplish my dreams and goals in life. I hope you enjoy these songs as much as I do playing them.
